About the Collective

Grounded in the wisdom of the natural world, WLC founders Monette Bailey, Mindfulness Consulting, LLC and Lori Pyle, PhD, Stonewave Leadership LLC, offer an accessible and inspiring curriculum rooted in the wisdom of the natural world that connects women to their inner leaders and to each other. Through experiential education, individual coaching, group coaching, and community-building experiences, they help women develop greater capacity for awareness and presence, so that they can steady and sustain themselves across challenging environments.

Participants in WLC experiences will find a safe and stimulating space to explore, grow, and learn to lead with dignity, confidence, and authenticity.

"But little by little,

as you left their voices behind,

the stars began to burn

through the sheets of clouds,

and there was a new voice

which you slowly

recognized as your own..."

-Mary Oliver

Who is the WLC for?

WLC is for growth-minded women who may choose to define their own way of leading rather than squeezing themselves into a pre-defined leadership style. They may be in the midst of or want to create a career or lifestyle shift. Or they’ve hit a ceiling in the workplace, or may not even see themselves in the word, “leader,” yet are ready to have greater influence and a stronger voice.

We welcome and invite women who want to:

  • show up as their whole authentic selves
  • reacquaint themselves with their voice
  • lead with more intention
  • influence others and their organizations
  • discover new inner resources for leading
  • co-create a supportive community
  • learn from the wisdom of the natural world

Interactive Webinar Series

We’re changing the narrative about leadership and what it means to be a leader, whether that’s a leader of an organization, a PTA, or your own life. Let’s shed the story that high productivity equals good leadership, that having all the “right” skills and education makes you good enough to lead, and that achieving and doing means you’re worthy. What if you could write a new story about being strong, grounded, and authentic? About being present for your life and work?

Join us for four, 75-minute conversations, and create your leadership story through thought-provoking dialogue, experiential exercises, and  mindfulness.

The Founders

After Monette and Lori connected through their Presence-Based® Coaching certification journey, they realized a common love, respect, and awe for the natural world and a shared passion for supporting women leaders. Although each has her own coaching and consulting business, the WLC is their collaborative dream and joint (ad)venture!

Lori Pyle

Lori Pyle

Lori thrives guiding small groups through developmental processes, whether teaching graduate students, facilitating appreciative inquiry workshops, or leading leadership retreats. She earned an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. in strategic leadership studies from James Madison University, is an ICF-certified Presence-Based Coach®, and is the owner of Stonewave Leadership

Her interest in women-specific development was sparked while co-creating a “Future is Female” workshop series for graduating college students. Seeing the difference even eight weeks of cohort-based learning made in how these young women saw themselves as leaders changed Lori forever. Her hope is that in 10 years, we might outgrow the need for women-specific leader development because the world has shifted toward greater equity.
